Have you ever wondered that how often we have self talks and soul talks? Some many question and others may be baffled to understand the difference between the two. But, for me it’s like most of the times we might be engaged in self talks, like knowing our opinions and what the mind answers us to be the right one. Whereas, the soul talk is where your soul answers to you, listens to your concerns and encourages you to follow your path.
Somedays back I found my old diaries, where I use to write a lot more things about which I couldn’t speak off or narrate it openly to people, may be due to lack of confidence or courage to speak your heart up in those days. I found one such writeup out of many that I had dedicated to my soul and it gave me immense joy and feeling of fulfillment to realize my worthy journey of self-love, self-respect, self-esteem, self-discovery and self-compassion.
In today’s blog I would just share the same letter hoping it will enlighten others and provide them much needed courage to break free from others opinions, judgments and awaited approvals to seek purposeful life.
Dear Soul,
Today, I write this special letter to you with a heart filled with gratitude and a newfound sense of liberation. It has been long that it feels like as we are trapped in never ending compromise, seeking approvals of others in our lives. But, this beautiful realization is enough to set us free from this tangled world.
As you know for long, my dear Soul, we have allowed the opinions and expectations of others to shape our self-worth and self-esteem. We have compromised our authenticity, faking to be someone else just to please those around us. We sought validation in their words, their approval, and in doing so, we lost sight of our own happiness and the genuine life that we truly deserve.
But today, my dear Soul, something extraordinary happened and I could still feel it within me. As I stood before the mirror, gazing into our own eyes, a voice within me echoed with resolute determination: “No more. No more compromising. No more seeking validation from others.” I couldn’t understand it at first but I realized that it was my self-awakening that was calling for my attention. It was drawing my attention to all those things that I couldn’t agree yet was forced to do to get pleased by others and validate their approvals.
In that moment, my dear Soul, what I experienced as an awakening—a profound realization that our happiness cannot be found in the approval of others. I recognized the profound truth that faking to be someone else will never bring me the joy, fulfillment, and authentic life I crave for.
Thus, from this day onward, my dear Soul, we must remember and vouch to each other that we must honour our true essence, unapologetically and without reservation. We must pledge to live life on our own terms, free from the chains of other people’s thoughts and expectations.
I won’t say that the journey would be easy and effortless. As letting go of the need for approval is a continuous process and it shall always test our resilience and perseverance for the same. There would be moments when we would still find ourselves longing for validation or falling into the trap of comparison. But we shall not fear, my dear Soul, as for with each stumble, we shall rise again, strengthened by the unwavering belief in our own worth and self-acceptance.
I want you to know, my dear Soul, that your worth is immeasurable. You are a radiant being of light, unique and beautiful in your own right. No one else can walk in your shoes or bring your essence to the world. You are enough, just as you are.
So, let us celebrate our uniqueness, my dear Soul. Let us embrace our quirks, our passions, and our dreams with unwavering enthusiasm. Let us revel in the joy that comes from living an authentic life—a life that is true to our deepest desires and aligned with our core values.
As we move forward in life, my dear Soul, let us remember the power we hold—the power to inspire others by simply being ourselves. In embracing our authenticity, we give others permission to do the same. Let us be a ray of light, illuminating the path for those who may have lost their way.
Today, as I write this, I feel the courage and powrful enough to embrace my true self and venture into this journey of self-discovery and self-reflection. Together, let us live fiercely, love deeply, and honor our authenticity. May our journey be one that is filled with self-discovery, self-acceptance, and unyielding self-love.
With boundless love and unwavering authenticity,
Yours Only and Truly,
Namrata.
